High performance triple eccentric butterfly valve for industrial applications
The previous week, the factory completed the production task of a batch of steel butterfly valve. The material was cast steel, and each valve was equipped with a handwheel device, as shown in the following figure.
The threeeccentric butterfly valve achieves efficient sealing through a unique structure. When the rotation center of the valve plate (i.e., the shaft center) deviates from the centerline of the valve body, it forms the first eccentricity. The centerline of the sealing surface of the valve plate deviates from the centerline of the valve body, forming the second eccentricity. The sealing surface of the valve seat is designed in a conical shape, so that the sealing surface of the valve plate and the sealing surface of the valve seat form a certain Angle. This is the third eccentricity.
When opening the valve, the valve plate, under the action of the driving device, first detaches from the sealing surface of the valve seat and then rotates to reduce friction. When closed, after the valve plate rotates into position, under the pressure of the medium or the force of the driving device, it closely adheres to the sealing surface of the valve seat, blocking the flow of the medium. This three-eccentric design ensures that during the opening and closing process of the valve, there is almost no friction between the valve plate and the valve seat sealing surface, thereby extending the service life. Meanwhile, it can achieve bidirectional pressure resistance and has good sealing performance.

1. Petrochemical field: In the catalytic cracking units of oil refineries, it is used to control high-temperature, high-pressure oil and gas media containing particulate impurities to ensure the stable operation of the unit; In chemical production, when transporting highly corrosive acid and alkali solutions, its special sealing structure can effectively prevent medium leakage and ensure production safety.
